Let’s
Dance
Welcome to Julie London Dance. We strive to teach excellence in dance through kindness, respect and positivity. We’re with you every step of the way on your dance journey.
Choosing to dance is a powerful expression of self – a way to connect with your emotions, your body, and even with others.
Why Choose to Dance
Physical Benefits
Dance is a full-body workout that improves strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. It’s an enjoyable way to stay fit and healthy.
Mental Health
Dancing can be a form of therapy, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. The focus on rhythm and movement can bring a sense of peace and mindfulness.
Emotional Expression
Dance allows you to express feelings that words often can’t capture. Whether it’s joy, sadness, anger, or love, dance provides an outlet for emotional release
Meet your Teachers

Ballet for Adults
Perhaps you have never danced but always wanted to try, or maybe you danced as a child or teenager then gave up – this class is for you.
We work slowly and steadily at the barre to build strength, balance and understanding of posture, placing and alignment.
We build to an enjoyable, musical centre practice, then gently cool down. You will feel calmer, happier and centred. Long term benefits include: improved awareness of posture, improved flexibility, toned legs and core, improved balance and overall happiness.

Testimonials
It was an absolute joy to teach your students – they really inspired me, with so much commitment, creatity and life! I’d love to work with them again.
Emma, Guest Teacher
Thank you so much for being so welcoming in my first term. Ilove every lesson and every week I can’t wait for the next.
Olivia, Ballet Student
Julie leads my children into very magical sensorial experiences that combine kindness, respect, discipline, aesthetics, musicality and body awareness. She is able to engage children in such a wonderful way that even the youngest ones feel motivated. My children love every opportunity to have classes with Julie as they always have lots of fun as well as learn techniques in a very supportive and loving environment.
Silvia, Parent
Sage is loving ballet so much. She looks forward to Monday all week long! Thank you so much for giving her such a lovely, warm, yet professional and structured introduction to ballet. It warms this former dancer’s heart!

FAQ
Do I need to have dance experience?
No prior experience is required. We have a range of classes suitable for beginners as well as more experienced dancers looking to enhance their skills. We’ll help you to feel comfortable and supported in class.
What should I wear for my first lesson?
Wear comfortable clothing, anything you can move and stretch in with ease. For ballet class, ballet shoes are the best option. Long hair should be secured off the face. For tap dance class, any comfortable shoe that is supportive is fine for the first class, if you’d like to continue we can advise you where to find tap shoes. We have a uniform for our junior students, adults are free to wear their own style and choice of dance clothes.
Can I join at any stage throughout the term?
Yes, absolutely! If we have space in the class, you are welcome to join at any stage.
Can I drop-in or do I need to pay a full term?
Adult classes are available at a special drop-in rate, however we recommend consistency to progress. Children’s classes are term attendance only. this is to enable progress, exam and performance preparation.
What are the progression routes for the school?
Students are supported to enter yearly exams with British Ballet Organisation (BBO) Dance. All students are invited to perform at our summer and winter performances. Exceptionally motivated students are encouraged to audition for the Royal Ballet School Associates and scholarships with BBO Dance. Our children have performed with London Children’s Ballet, Danceworks Ballet Academy’s Nutcracker, Nativity Rocks and Matilda in the West End, and Matilda the Movie.
